New for 2026: heat pumps at altitude
Since 1 January 2026, the canton of Vaud has lifted the restrictions that limited the installation of air-to-water and air-to-air heat pumps above 1'000 metres. An opportunity for properties in the Vaud uplands (Leysin, Villars, Les Diablerets).
Subsidies in the canton of Vaud
Vaud homeowners can combine several levels of support, which generally cover up to 30% of the cost of the installation, before tax deductions.
I. Federal one-time remuneration (Pronovo)
The main federal support, paid once after commissioning. It consists of a basic flat-rate amount plus an amount per installed kWp. For a standard residential installation, expect several thousand francs. We handle the entire application for you.
II. Vaud cantonal programme (SEVEN)
The canton of Vaud's Energy Department offers support for residential installations in addition to the federal remuneration, of around CHF 800 for 6 to 10 kWp and CHF 1'500 above 10 kWp. The programme can be combined with Pronovo.
III. Municipal support
Several Vaud municipalities (Lausanne, Nyon, Morges, Yverdon-les-Bains) offer their own top-ups, generally from CHF 300 to CHF 1'500. Our teams check what support is available in your municipality.
IV. Tax deduction
The entire investment is deductible from taxable income in the year the work is carried out. Depending on your marginal tax rate, this represents a substantial additional saving.
